Winter break, stop teasing me with the idea of free time for nothingness. I’m going to work hard to produce work for the Intern show so I can hopefully get an internship, though if that miracle were to happen I would have serious schedule conflicts.
As my pencil touched my sketchbook, my mind drew a blank and suddenly the white overwhelmed my soul. Gosh it’s difficult to get started sometimes with a cold engine. But I just had to forget about the whole intern show and DRAW and scribble all the art diarrhea out of me before getting to the good stuff. I need to enjoy it GRR (a bit ironic there).
And after catching up with friends, I wonder how hard I suffer for my craft in comparison to others (not that it matters, you do what you gotta do). Is it comparing apples to ogres? Probably. Nonetheless, I enjoy hearing different stories and laughing quite a lot.
Yet another often ignored goal: fitness. I’m gonna exercise with determination throughout term! WATCH ME AND MY BEAUTIFUL FITNESS MUAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH OOOOOOO!!!!
My schedule still 18 credits with: Art of Research, Design Process 2, Viscom 2, 3D Fundamentals 2, Design Fundamentals 2, Digital Design 1.
Art of Research was fun because my group made it fun. We made a zombie, werewolf, and vampire survival kit and pretty much blew the teacher away. Thanks fernini and kento-san. DP2 was lame. Teacher was lame. Sorry, but you kinda suck even though you’re awesome. I will visit you next term if time permits. Viscom 2 was boring as hell, but easy enough to deal with. I hope I got an A. 3D2 was the highlight of this term, especially it being very Entertainment and working with all my friends… I spent the most time working on my helmet, and I’m very proud of what I accomplished. It is my baby. Mary’s class was actually quite helpful and wonderful… Mary is a brilliant woman who knows about everything on this Earth. There is quite no one like her and I’d like to know how her mind works. Digital design was a meh class with a good teacher; I learned a bunch about Photoshop and Illustrator I didn’t know before. I am not afraid of you, Illustrator.
Term 2 was easier than first term just because I learned how to time manage and not procrastinate as much. No all-nighters. Although the windstorm set me back a little heh. I got to dive right back into school well-rested from the summer and well-acquainted with everyone in my term. It was quite wonderful.
This Christmas break has started off great with a lot of sleep and seeing Cat and Ailsa … Yay!!
I can’t wait for Term 3 to start. My body will be ready for you in about three weeks.
